Adventure: Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada
Back in November, Chyna and I went down to Las Vegas to visit family for the Thanksgiving holiday. Having little down time, we were able to find a small window to escape and squeeze in a quick sunrise hike. After some research we decided on Valley of Fire State Park. Located in southern Nevada, a little over an hour outside of Las Vegas, the Valley of Fire features an incredible display of Aztec sandstone conjured into all shapes, sizes, and colors from millennia of erosional forces. With limited time, we figured the White Domes Trail was the perfect choice. This easy 0.5 mile loop wanders through an impressive diversity of geologic features in a short distance.
We concluded our little adventure with some coffee at Mothership Coffee Roasters back in Las Vegas before reuniting with family.
